Im helping out a friend that is starting an organization. In August, he would like to give out school supplies to needy kids in the local area! Any ideas on some companies that would be willing to help? We need donations! Either money or the actual supplies! Please Help!

I would advertise in your local paper, then visit each and every business in your community. Be sure to acknowledge them with a thank you or a piece in the school or local paper. It is free advertising for them, and they are contributing to the place where the school children’s parents and relatives, shop, and do business. It is contributing to their future sales and promotes good will…good luck to you all…thank you.

Local dollar and discount stored may help as well,Sometimes you can get the local paper to do a little story about it and it benifits both the store and the charity too,although i do agree,calling it a charity may not be the best idea,In our school we have a bulletin board that each teacher puts up classroom supplies needed on index cards and the parents or volenteers take the whatever ones they can supply and buy the items,perhaps you could get a school or local store to let you put something along those lines up,sort of an adopt a need thing,good luck!
